About The Missile Range
The Missile Range is a low-effort, high-frequency writing space — the counterweight to the rest of the network’s polish. Where the portfolio, music site, and Carrizozo Studios represent finished, deliberate work, this is where ideas get tested, half-formed opinions get an airing, and voice takes priority over production value. Named for the idea of firing things off without excessive drama or forethought.
How posts are tiered
Every post carries a tier — not a rating of quality, but an honest label for how much work went into it. The visual weight of the badge escalates with the rigor: dashed, then solid, then filled.
Unprocessed, in-the-moment. Written close to the experience, not checked against anything.
Gone out and mapped the idea. Still provisional, but more than a first reaction.
Developed, checked, and sourced where relevant — the most work goes into these.
Weapons Free
A second, independent flag: a post marked Weapons Free is gonzo — opinion running hotter than the verification behind it. It can attach to a Field Note or a Field Report equally; it says nothing about how much effort went in, only how much restraint didn’t.
